1998, State publisher, HAWAII BUSINESS conducted a personal interview, with Hi National Music Foundation president, Kirk Thompson.
Along with the personal interview, was the foundations projected goals
and mission statement, documenting its 20 YEAR planing &
development for success!

“With the goal of building a National Music Institue of learning for the
Pacific Rim; President/founder, Kirk Thompson & the HAWAII NAT MUSIC
FOUNDATION have completed the groundwork, planning & development
of technical facilities, programs & more for the Pacific Rim.
The learning center is designed to support & position pacific based
students, recording artists, producers, young executives, technicians
& others for the many career oppurtunities in the music business &
todays creative recording arts.
Along with the foundation facilities, are educational programs that are
available. Special courses for both; the professional & non professional. The
programs help provide artist/writers/publishers etc with an inside look at todays
overall music/recording industry.
With years of experience & valuable information provided, the Foundation
offers comprehensive hands on training business courses in operations,
audio engineering, music production, mechanical licensing/
composing / publishing, computer programming, record producing/
distribution, digital marketing & more.
Individual is now able to build & develop their own career with practical business
knowledge using the various trade skills associated w/ todays music industry.
Many can now take hold of all the career opportunities that await them in the
international music & recording industry.

long needed support for the gifted & creative talent of the Pacific. The foundation
